Story

Growing up in a small, midwestern town, I was the last of five kids and the first to finish college (Eastern Illinois University). A French major I was. Yep. That all started when my Dad recommended I take Spanish in high school. So naturally, I took French. Turns out I was pretty good at it, too. I spent my junior year abroad (Université de Bourgogne) and was asked to return to France after graduation as a guinea pig for a graduate program at a prestigious French business school (ICN). So what does one do with a French major if one does not wish to teach? Well, work for a French Bank in Chicago (Crédit Agricole) for one thing. Then accidentally fall into the field of human resources which, up until then, I didn’t even know existed.

Throw in a masters degree in said field at Loyola University and there you have my professional formative years.

Flash forward twenty years to today and I find myself the grateful beneficiary of an awesome career within the financial services sector, having worked within a small handful of superb organizations (see Offerings).

The consulting thing crept up on me many years back and kinda stuck. The chance to engage in a variety of industries and step into unknown (to me) companies to make an immediate, meaningful impact gives rise to a work setting that is, quite frankly, hard to beat.  I love what I do.  I’ve been told I’m good at it.  Not a bad combination if you’re lucky enough to have it.
